This is probably the worst Friday I've had. I've been let go from my job cry I don't finish for another month but it's going to be hard. I knew there were going to be cut back and we were told hours would be cut. I didn't really think I could lose my job completely. The position I'm in has been there for years so I thought I'd be fairly safe. Naturally I'm feeling quite down and I think the next few weeks are going to be pretty hard *sigh*

Sorry to hear that Bella - chin up, something good will come your way, remember its not a reflection on you - just the economic climate
hope you keep calm, and spend time with family / friends over the weekend to keep your mind off it...

Bella, I am so sorry!

I agree with dakota 100% though.  This is not a reflection on you, so try not to interalize it.

I know that it is just hard though...you really liked your job.:(

I am sure that in the time that you have left, you will be able to find something even better and with greater oppurtunity for yourself.

You are a hard worker with goals and motivation...some employer is going to eagerly snatch you up.:)

Keep posting, we are your cheering section.

hi...i also lost two jobs today..2 jobs in 1 day...needless to say i am having the worst panc attack ive had in awhil..trying not to got to ER and make a fool out of myself agin..its realy bad...tok a xanex 1 and no relief yet...GOD help us all..panic is no joke

I'm sorry about your job. I know it is really hard for you. Please do not worry over it. As S.C. said, something better will come along. It's just a matter of time.

Thanks every one :) I had a nice day on saturday. I'd booked in for a massage a week ago so made a day of it. Had a nice lunch then the massage then afternoon tea. Plus my dear kitty cat is keeping me company. He knows I'm feeling down.

I work for a not for profit organization and our funding recently got cut back. my boss made it clear that it was purely a financial decision. She was nearly in tears when she told me. It wasn't her idea. the decision came from higher up. She said she'll do what ever she can to help me find a new job and I know the other staff members will be looking out for me too. we're only a small group and pretty close. I just feel bad because when I go everyone else will have to do my job as well as theirs.
PAQ I'm so sorry to hear you lost your jobs :( It's a terrible feeling when you get the news. I hope something comes along for you soon.

You have a great outlook...and your abilibty to empathize with those that you worked with is awesome...those are the kind of qualities that make you hireable!
