im having a panic attack.  my heart started beating really fast for no reason and im scared im having a heart attack.  God I hate this i can hear my heart beating in my ears

yes im thinking that. it also fluttered which freaked me out. i hate this i really do. :( just want to hide in a whole

Sometimes my heartrate will go up, and I am super aware of its beating in my chest/ears. Temperature, hormone flucutations, what we've eaten, deydration...lots of factors can cause changes in heart rate.

Then once we become aware/fixated on it...it only gets worse!

It will go down again on its own the less attention you pay it. You are not alone in this...a lot of us have this unpleasant, but benign anxiety symptom.  Do some progressive muscle relxation and deep breathing exercises if you can.
