I have been to 6 therapists over the past 30 years and some I liked very much and others, no matter how hard I tried I just did not bond with them.
I usually have a pretty good instinct for knowing if the person I am working with is a good fit. I will give a new therapist 3 visits and if I am still feeling negative vibes than I will move on or just take a break and work with my Psychiatrist.
I wish you the best it connecting with this new therapist and remember it is not easy to open up to a complete stranger so look for your comfort level and that will guide you in deciding if this person is a good fit for you.
