I understand what you are feeling. My husband is 'the nicest guy in the world.' and while yes, this is a good thing...sometimes those nice guys are so focused on pleasing everyone around them, that they forget to extend some of that to the person who should count the most.
I have been guilty of the same thing though...sometimes our families get the worst of us, right?
Is it possible for you two to talk to someone? It doesn't necessarily need to be a marriage counselor or therapist. Perhaps your pastor/clergy if you attend church...or an older couple who you trust and could be an impartial mediating factor?
Far too many marriages fail because of stressful situations that make it hard to cultivate and work on the love that brought you together in the first place. Love is a verb for sure...so I do hope that there is enough desire to see your marriage work in both of you to fight for it!
I wish you the best.
