The tradgies of today

I am having a hard time as is all of America today with the shootings that happened this morning. I only have a smidgen of an idea of what those parents are going through tonight. I find myself struggling with the idea of letting my kids out of this house. A lot my anxieties are based around something happening to my children and then things like this happen. All i have been thinking about today is how easy it would be someone to walk onto my kids campus and do something like this and i am freaking. I am trying my best not lose it completely but its really hard. I want nothing more than to board up my windows and doors and keep my babies safe the only way i know how but keeping them away from everyone else. Okay..... taking a breath.... i know logically that i can't do that, but i want to.
IS anyone else having a overly hard time tonight?

Very sad...heartbreaking...there are no words to describe it as it beggars description. My prayers for the families and for the poor, innocent children who lost their lives.

I will not watch the sadness on my TV screen nor listen to it on the radio. I watched it in the beginning because I believe we have to be informed as to what is happening in our world...but it soon becomes a "ratings war" between the news media and I will not subject myself to it. The victims need our love and concern but they also need the time and privacy to heal. There will be those who will need their fifteen minutes of fame and will come on the airwaves to describe the horror over and over again.
