Well you may be feeling differently about things tomorrow...but utimately, you just need to do what is going to be best for you in terms of recovery.
If that means seeing your friends outside of the pub, then that may just have to be an option for you temporarily...or you may find that sometimes you can go and have a good time, and that tonight was just a bad night anxiety speaking.
As far as feeling guilty about not telling your friend the truth, it sounds as if you just did not want to bring her down, so you kept your anxiety to yourself...this is not such a bad thing, after all you were thinking of her...I would not read too much into it and assume that you are dishonest and not trustworthy...because I do not see this as being true! I think that you did what you felt was right at the time...and the next time, since this has made you feel bad, you will be straight with her.:)
I hope that you can move past this night, and continue on your path to wellness and start to feel better very soon.
