My life in a nutshell the past month! I suffer from anxiety and truly believe myself to be a hypochondriac :) Anyhoo, Dr. Google is very comforting yet a total nightmare for me! Its literally a catch 22. I have a wide array of symptoms and have received an MRI (12/31/2012) seen the neurologist last Friday and am going in for an MRA tomorrow morning. Needless to say I have been an anxious mess! Your not alone! Try to remain calm and think positive. At least you are getting these tests done, you may be anxious now but later on it will be a piece of mind knowing that if you get the pain(s) again you know what it isn't!! Along with CBT, I have been looking on the resource center here on HW and there is some great material. One in specific lists some questions to ask yourself such as "what is the possibility of that actually happening?" so I keep telling myself that. And if your tests reveal something then you can deal with it then...until then try not to dwell on it. You will know soon enough :) Also the more you dwell on something the greater it gets. I have been thinking I have a lack of blood flow to my brain, therefore I have all kinds of symptoms which when I really don't think about it they are lessened. I, like you, know better...its not easy shoo-ing the thoughts away! Wish you the best, keep us updated on your tests.
