Oh yes, I have been there! Every year I fret about not only going in to do the 'yearly overhaul' (pap, mamo and general check-up/CBC) but then I also sweat out the waiting for the results.
This is kind of the last anxiety hurdle for me...I can't seem to get comfortable with all of this.
One thing that I do is to set aside a small amount of time each day to think/worry about it...maybe five minutes at the most. After all it is impossible for me to not think about it at all.
Then after that, if it tries to take over my thinking...I use my go to mantra:
'It is not time to worry about that right now.'
There is nothing you can do to change any of the results...and you will only end up worrying for no reason, and exhausting yourself, so do yourself good and practice putting it out of your mind.:)
Completely understanding how you are feeling...
