Hi parrot and welcome!
Anxiety definitely brings on physical symptoms that are a result of the negative/fearful thinking patterns going on in our brains...so the answer to both your questions is...yes.
This is why therapy works well for many people. If you can change the way that anxiety starts, mentally...then the physical symptoms that are bothersome also tend to stop.
Of course, there are times when we actually do have something physical that is causing us to feel unwell...so it is important to get regular medical care.
If however, you have been recently seen by your doctor and are healthy, then you can safely focus on treating the anxiety.
What have you done for relief in the past...or presently?
Like I mentioned, therapy is a great treatment option. Medication can also be considered...and self-help is a great choice as well.
The latter can be found in our Resources on the main page. Check out the breathing and relaxation exercises. They are really effective if practiced daily!
Keep talking with us as well. It is helpful to be in contact with those who understand and care!
