Feeling depressed

I have started getting depressed and anxious and this time it is very deep. I have no energy and spirit to go on.

Hi Maggie.

I am so sorry to hear that you have hit a low spot.

First off, have you contacted your medical health professional, or doctor?

If you are feeling truly despondent, then I must urge you to contact someone for help immediately. Depression at this level can be very serious.

Have you had any changes in either your medication, or situation lately that could cause you to have an increase in your A/D? Any trigger that you can pinpoint?

Do you have some coping skills that have helped in the past?

Do you have a support system close by that you can reach out to?

When I saw my psychiatrist two weeks ago, I was feeling the same and told her I was feeling D/A. But she didn't say anything. She told me to stop taking trazadone and I don't know if that is the reason why I am feeling down. I will be seeing her next week, so I am wondering I better stay till then and tell her how I feel.
I don't even know what may have triggered this. Nothing really happened. Only this med thing.
Uh, the support system, well, I don't have much to whom I can reach out to.

Hmmm, did she say why she wanted you to stop the Trazadone? I wonder if she thought it was causing an increase in your symptoms rather than helping them? Was it a new Rx for you?

I would say, that if you are feeling stable for now, then you can wait until next week to address this new issue. However, if you start to feel like you are in jeopardy or have feelings of self-harm...then you must make an emergency call for an immediate appointment.

Well, as far as support, you certainly have us. Ups and downs happen to us all, and we understand and are here for you during this time.

Scaredy Cat, I think she stopped the Trazadone because it was making me feel drowsy in the mornings. But when I told her, after that, I was feeling down, she didn't say anything about it.

I don't want self harm and don't feel that bad. So I will wait and see her on Monday.

I am glad that this forum is there to talk. It helps a lot.

just stopped in to see how today was? and if you are feeling a little better. I feel you and pray that today was a better day. I understand how you feel. You are not alone and am always here to talk to!
