I am sorry to hear of your recent hospital experience. I am sure that it was frightening and confusing to say the least.

It sounds as if you were given the basic cardio and blood work tests used to rule out a number of health issues.

They also prescribed a benzodiazapine which is a fast acting med used to treat panic attacks and acute anxiety.

Have you had any anxiety issues previously?

Did the doctors in the hospital make any recommendations for you for the future?

Some people will experience a panic attack, and never have another...let's hope this is the case for you!

If however, this is not your first and only run in with anxiety...your next step should be to talk with your doctor about treatment options.

Therapy is a great long-term help for anxiety and panic issues. It helped me so very much! You may want to keep this option in mind, should you find you need more help.
