Good afternoon everyone,

Welp, my new juicer finally got here today, I bought an amazing amount of organic produce to start everything up, I still have a sinus infection and saw my doc today, she has given me the green light to do a 40 day juice fast/feast and also said in her own words "you know, I do want to say that I think there is something to that... juicing I mean, it has helped a lot of people", and then she went on to write stuff in her laptop, so during this experiment she will keep tabs on me weekly at first then every two etc. as long as I'm feeling okay, she is excited to see the outcome.

I am also excited to see what happens, it can only be good and positive things, and will only help me get my nutrition, vitamins and minerals up.

I have checked in on the forums daily and usually a few times a day, but I haven't been posting much, trying to keep my mind clear and positive, no more anxiety or freaking out for me hopefully, I have to be in the right state of mind to start this juicing experience.

So here goes, bottoms up, I'll be taking pictures and such along the way, and getting my doc's input, I'll keep everyone updated on the progress, how I feel, how my blood work goes and everything, hopefully will have good pictures to show at the end of this ordeal, and I will start a new healthy diet after the 40 days are over.

Good luck with your eating planning and I am glad to know you checked in with your Dr. and that you will be staying in  contact with your Dr throughout the 40 day fast.

Good luck! I have thought about doing it myself. Can only be good for you to put whole, natural foods into your body. You will do great! Definitely keep us updated.

I made the first drink and am drinking it now, its surprisingly delicious, especially compared to the Jack Le Lanne, I remember reading somewhere that this juice would taste much better than the other juicer variety of juicing, and totally forgot about it until I sipped this one, basically same recipe, but so so much tastier. I'll be straight forward here, I never ever knew how tasty veggies could be until now, it's almost like a treat, and really new, something I have never tasted before, and its so good, I can see myself craving this taste in the future.

I was also thinking, my son's birthday is on the 12th of May, I'll be ending my fast 2 days before his birthday and will be able to celebrate by having a small bit of cake with him!

Share with us what you mixed together when making smoothies etc.   My daughter has a top of the line juicer which she dumps in everything but the kitchen sink and it turns out looking like green Mr. Yuck redface

I sure can understand your wanting to share a piece of your son's birthday cake with him on his special dayl.

I definitely will make a list of ingredients, so far it was a valencia orange, cucumber, 2 carrots and a whole bunch of organic baby spinach.
