Hi andy cotton candy,
If you are looking to reduce or wean from your Rx, then I would recommend doing this with the assistance of your doctor.
He/she will give you a weaning schedule that will be safe, with the least amount of side effects.
Have you looked into alternatives? Going off of your medication without something to back you up could be difficult.
Therapy, self-help techniques, exercise/meditation and other methods to help you to deal with your anxiety should be used to help you during this time.
If you need more ideas, you can look into our Resource Guide. It is here on the main page, 1st post.
You will find a lot of self-help ideas and sites, as well as bood recommendations and links to breathing and relaxation exercises. (very effective if practiced daily!)
There is also a site called The Road Back that helps with medication weaning concerns...but consult with your doctor first, and just check out this site as extra help if needed.
I wish you the best. Know that you are not alone, we are listening, and we care.:)
Post with us anytime!
