I am glad that you have found us, and are feeling comforted by just being here in the community of those who understand! It is very healing to be part of a supportive group of peers who care.
I understand your frustration at feeling scared about what should be an enjoyable family trip. I spent a very nervous vacation or two earlier on in my anxiety journey.
However, nothing bad ever came to pass besides just some anxiety that I was able to handle.
Have you had any therapy or self-help experience that you can put into practice? Breathing, relaxation, reassuring mantras and self-talk and envisioning a positive outcome are all great for anxiety reduction.
