Hi Richya and welcome!
I am sorry that you have been having stomach trouble lately.:( It is no fun to have pain/nauseau and not be able to eat.
The digestive system is often the hardest hit by anxiety. It is often the first symptom that many people feel. Even children who can't articulate their feelings of stress/anxiety often complain of a 'tummy ache'...which just shows how common this issue is.
High stomach acid, over stimulation of nerves in the intestines (IBS) or just the general nervous stomach feelings that go along with anxiety are probably one/some of the things at work here...especialy since you have been given a clean bill of health from your doctors.
Things you can try to get relief:
*Probiotics...I found these very helpful when I was having these issues
*OTC meds for heartburn/indigestion...Tums, Malox, Pepto, ect..
*Ensure shakes. They give good nutrition/nutrients in a drinkable meal form...if your stomach can't tolerate anything else, you can sip these throughou the day.
For long term relief of the root cause...anxiety, you may want to consider these treament options:
*Therapy. I can't tell you what a difference this made for my anxiety issues ans symptoms!!
*Medication for A/D such as an SSRI/SNRI or a benzodiazepine for acuted anxiety issues
*Self-help. We have a great Resource Guide here on our main page (1st post) that is full of great ideas to get you started. I can also recommend books at your request.:)
Keep posting with us if you find it helpful. Being part of a group of people who understand and care is really important too!
Talk to you soon,
Scaredy Cat
