Hello everybody,

Probably most of people here suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. Im diagnosed with moderate depression and my psychiatrist prescribed my antidepressants and anxiolytics because i told him i am a bit anxious too,im taking rivotril 2mg 2/4 of thr pill per day.Last night i had an argument with my brother and he was shouting to me and i got really angry i started shouting to him and beating him,i was out of control until my breath became really rapid my face was numb,my heart was beating really fast,i could hardly open my eyes or talk. Its the third time that happend to me,but the 2 previous times were like 1 or 2 years ago when i again got really anrgy and couldnt control my self. Do you guys have any idea what this might be? Is it a panic attack? What is it?

Hi jeoch and welcome to the A/P

Due to the circumstances especially, what you described, sounds like a panic attack to me. Many people are triggered by anger and confrontation...myself included.

I have now learned to deal with these attacks thanks to therapy, so if you continue to struggle with this, you may want to look into that option.

I have an appointment to my psychiatrist on 23th to check how medication is going, i guess i should tell him about that.

Jeoch, if you hold back information from your Dr. he wont have all the data he needs to help you. He needs
to know about this, he may want to add or takaway a certain med., learn to trust the people you need
want to help you over come this condition. Follow SC's lead about therapy, "You will be ok"!
