citalopram-i'm sooo tired

i've been on 10mg once a day for about a week now. I am so exhausted. I sleep for at least 10 hours a night, then need a nap during the day. has anyone else experienced this? my doctor said i may be a little drowsy, but this seems way past that. i also feel kind of high when i take it. i don't know how to describe it. I really noticed it yesterday while i was driving to work. I felt like I had a couple drink buzz or had just smoked weed, i had not done either of those things...just to clarify.

is this normal? will it go away?

I take mine at bed time. Right before I close my eyes. It helps me sleep at night. But I also have a new baby so I don't sleep that many hours at a time. However when I initially fall asleep it is fast and hard. I do find myself the past couple of days taking naps. Well, more like falling asleep and waking myself up as I have a 5 year old home with me too. Luckily, she still liked to take naps at times.

I do get the drugged feeling as well. I'm lightheaded, and dizzy. It mostly happens when I wake up during the night. Or early in the morning. It takes a bit to get acclimated in the morning, but it seems to be helping.

Tonight I will be upping to my prescribed dose as I was supposed to up to it after a week. Also, yesterday I had 3 anxiety attacks. That's never good!!! So tonight I will up my dose.
