Hello Anon,When a person says: “I don’t want to live any more”, he or she usually means: “I don’t want to live like this any more!” That means that he or she wants the pain to end, the grief, the loneliness, the fear… Maybe that’s how it is with you. The fact that you have posted your feelings here in the forum make me suspect that what you need is lots of support and members to tell you that you will get better.
Some of us have neurochemical imbalances that make us extremely anxious. But we all seem to have different ways of expressing that anxiety, and the health thing may be yours.
Perhaps it may help if you start fresh with a Dr. who has not seen you before and you start from the beginning sharing all your concerns with this new Dr. Unfortunately, panic and anxiety many times don't allow us to be rational. That's where the medication might help you.
Be your own best advocate and don't let the doc just dismiss you without some labwork. A chemistry profile, CBC, thyroid, etc., go a long way towards reflecting good health.
Give yourself a chance to find a way to deal with health anxiety. You are worth it.
Just a note to remind you that the topic of suicide is not allowed in the forums so if you feel you are in danger of harm please see the info I have posted for you.
If you believe you may be suicidal, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) immediately, or consult their website at www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org. They are available 24/7 for anyone in suicidal crisis in the United States.
I believe that you will get past this point in your life with some effort and some help from others who care.
Blessings to you,
Kitt
