If I may ask...how long were you in therapy? Was is simply talk therapy, or do you know if it was CBT? (cognitive behavioral therapy)
Did you ever do any work specifically for the phobia...and finally, was OCD ever mentioned/explored as a possibility in your case?
I understand not wanting to spend money on treatment if it does not seem to be effective. However, it does take time, and the right treament to get better.
I found so much healing through CBT, so I can personally recommend that .
There are also good books that I can recommend, and I have also seen emetophobe support sites where you might get even more ideas. I will be happy to post either suggestions at your request.;)
You can live with less fear of this with the right help!
