A week ago Wednesday was the last time I took a Xanax. I'm so excited and I haven't needed one since.

 

Now if I can just get this sleep thing down!

 

My dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma and we went to get his test results

Wednesday and the cancer isn't spreading and he is going to( Chemo)- R-Chop and maybe radiation. He goes this Tuesday for his first treatment and then he goes back every three weeks for one treatment and he will be done around Labor Day, just in time for his birthday.

 

I got a new car today. My car was rearended a couple of weeks ago and so instead of getting it fixed(it's 11 years old) we used the money to go towards the new car. Wish I knew how to post a pic. I got a 2013 Ford Escape in a Frosted Glass which is like a light frosted teal. Pictures don't do it justice.

Great job on your progress N.L.!!

I am wishing the best for your dad and his treatments. I hope that you can be a comfort to each other at this time. When my step-dad had colon cancer (survivor almost 12 yrs now!) we became closer than we had ever been.

Congratulations on your new car!! Very exciting.:)

Great news on your dad! We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers! New cars are always awesome! We are saving for a new car now!

Congrats on going without the Xanax! I count the number of days too. It reminds me of significant progress. It's been 9 days since I took one to settle down in the morning and two nights since I needed one to sleep.

NL - based on Larrys suggestion I asked ny doc about Benadryl since ambient didn't work. I had 10ml (syrup form, for some reason we don't get tablets in China). Slept from 11PM to 4:30AM. Had another 10ml and was semi conscious from 4:30 to 9:15AM.

I think I wake up worried about something because I'm typically sweaty and hot and my kind is racing already....hard to get back to sleep.

I just try to remind myself its all a dream and oh so.far from reality!

Give benadryl a try, it helped put me to sleep. Also was reading last night that its a good strategy to rewind your day in your head from getting into bed to that morning, supposedly helps to process unfinished business.
Not sure if its effectiveness but I will write back if it helps!

I take OTC Zyrtec D for allergies and cannot take Benadryl with that. I volunteer at our local hospital and saw my doctor this morning. He told me he signed me off on Lunista but I'm waiting on a prior authrization from insurance. He asked me what side effects I'm having and I told him really bad migraines, bad enough I couldn't even think straight. Today is the first day I haven't had one since Monday.
