Worried

First of all congratulations! If you have to give up your medication...this is the happiest of reasons.

However, I know that it must cause you to worry how you will get on without them.

What other methods do you have of dealing with your anxiety and panic? Have you been through therapy? If not, this would be a perfect time to start. Inquire about a referral to a therapist who offers CBT, as this is an effective method in learning how to shut down a panic attack and manage general anxiety levels.

If you already have done therapy work, re-visting the idea could prove to give you the boost you need...or you could reinforce what you already know with self-help options. We have some great ones in our Resource Guide on the main page here.

You may find that you anxiety is lower naturally while you are pregnant. This is the case for some moms, so hopefully it will be your experience too!

You can also check with you OBGYN about a possible medication that is safe during this time...there may be something that you could take without worry in regards to your little one's development.

Cluck hopefully you will be like my wife, the only time she was normal during our marage was when she
was pregnant with our two Daughters, they made her quit her med's also.
