As you progress in your anxiety treament, your sleep issues should get better...mine did.
I used to have the same problem of waking up in the middle of the night.
Depending on how 'awake' my brain/body felt...I would often have to get up and do something for awhile, before trying to go back to sleep.
More times than not though, I could just do my deep breathing and 'anti-worry' mantras and drift back off.
If you do need to get up, it is recommended that you stay off of media such as the t.v. or computer/smart phones...as the lights throw off the natural circadian rhythms of sleep. (however, I often did play games, ect. on my phone and still got back to sleep.)
I wish you the best in getting the rest that you need. Remember to practice your breathing and relaxation exercises during the day to set the stage for a better night's sleep!
