effexor uping dose

Doctor is uping me from 75mg after 6 years to the next level. Will it give me panic attacks .... I'm nervous.

I think you should do fine since you have done fine on the 75 mg for so long. I am waiting for my Dr. to give me the go ahead to up my dose to 150 mg. Maybe we can help each other out during this time of increasing meds...I know anxiety increases just thinking about starting a new med or upping your dose, but IMO I think you will do fine.

You were asking about the chat last night. Where are you located? I am in Pennsylvania so that is eastern time for me. Maybe we can set up a time to chat later on this evening, if you are able to??

Thanks I hope to God not!!! I have to hold down a job in the middle of all of this!

Everyone reacts to medication differently. While it could cause panic attacks in others, this may not happen for you. Wait and see what happens. If it does increase your anxiety/cause panic attacks, contact your doctor. I hope everything works out for you.

Sounds good to me I'm also east coast . Boston area. Tonight maybe a little tough but for sure we should keep in touch. Is it your first time on effexor???

If not tonight, then we can see when we can get on chat. I am pretty flexible right now as I am not doing much away from home, though I do go out to get out of the house for a bit...

This is my 2nd time on Effexor XR. I felt great on it before with absolutely zero anxiety and panic attacks but before I started back on it, all of my anti-depressants were out of my system so I had to start back at square one.
