I think it's because that's what makes an interesting article. People like shock and awe (except for us - who it scares!)
I write articles for my job and I can't imagine writing, "The patient was experiencing heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea and disorientation. After taking half of a xanax and controlling her breathing, everything was 100% fine."
You don't write about what's normal. Your angle is what it is that is different or important, usually.
So, having a symptom and no articles about it being just fine? Then, it's probably normal for it to be just fine. :)
