I made it :-)

I survived my camping trip. I survived my husbands driving which made me feel ill a few times but I survived. I survived being without Internet and cellular network. I had fun. We kayaked in the bay and went across to a small piece of land to get shells. We left our shoes by the kayaks. Bad idea. The majority of the land was blocked off so some birds can breed and nest. The further we got the hotter the sand got. We all were running and flying in different directions to avoid the heat. about 45 minutes later we reached the beach. I never felt so relieved to have ocean water on my feet. We collected shells, climbed rocks and chased crabs. We decided to walk around instead of walking through the devils behind again. Well my 8 yr old found one of those baby birds. It blew off into the beach. It looked like it recently hatched. We turned it into the wildlife sanctuary. So it was an interesting, and fun trip. But I come home and the first thing my neighbor tells me is that her kids all got the stomach bug and now she's not feeling well. Welcome to hell. I mean welcome home. I instantly started scrubbing my house even though they weren't here.

Wow! Your vacation sounds fabulous! I'm so glad you had a good time. Too bad about the hot feet, but every vacation needs a minor road bump to help make memories. :)

Are you guys going to do any kind of project with your shells? (asks the crafty kid, haha)

I'm so sorry that your neighbor is sick with the stomach bug and that you're trapped in that cleaning cycle. Maybe your family has already built up an immunity to it? Plus, you guys have all of that Vitamin D from your fun in the sun, which I'm pretty sure increases immunity, so you guys are probably good! :)

I am so glad that you are all feeling better and that you had a great/safe and healthy time!!

I think that your neighborhood is under attack though. :( I am sure that the virus will burn itself out soon.

It was a very exciting trip. Wish I didn't have to come back and deal with life. Hot feet was actually kinda fun. I told the kids it reminded me of playing Mario bros when your trying to dodge the fireballs. Now I need to start cleansing myself from all the toxic food from restraunts. I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy on Monday so I need to start my diet early because medications don't work as well for me as most people. I sure hope my kids got an immunity built up. I've had it with that stupid stomach bug. Needless to say no visitors for the week for sure. It's nice to be back in my own bed though.
