Well I woke up this morning with my ear clogged and my right side of my face burning I looked it up and both are also a symptom of anxiety skull well I still went to my aunts for dinner tho I wasn't feeling well come home ear still plugged face don't burn as much but I feel like vomiting why? Why do I have to feel like this? I can see tonight is gonna be a long night I go to see my gp in morning I'm gonna tell her about my ear so she checks it just to be sure I don't have an ear infection I hate feeling like this I hate this constant all day everyday I have some symptom of anxiety will I ever get a break.. Today it has taken all that I have not to go to the ER.. mad

I hate ear problems. I'm 44 years old and have had a really bad sinus infection and was on antibiotics. Finished the meds and got worse instead of better. Went back to the doctor the day before 4th of july and he said my ears were red, swollen and bulging. I couldn't sleep without hurting, couldn't walk without being dizzy, the worst feeling ever. All because of allergies! I hope you don't have an ear infection. I'll be thinking of you.

Thank you Lisa I hate them too sadly even though I can heart out of my right ear they say its anxiety our because I clench my jaw when I'm sleeping

Kortnie give yourself a pat on the back, you went to your Aunts house when you really would have
prefeered to stay on the couch, thats progress, I lost the hearing in my right ear and sight in right eye when I was about your age, it sux but we still have some good days and I Pray you will have many. Peace

Sorry to hear that you're feeling bad, but I agree with Larry, good job on heading on to your Aunt's house. I hope you enjoyed yourself.

As difficult as it can be, try not to stress too much until you get to the doctor tomorrow. A few hours won't make a big difference in the treatment of an ear infection or such.

At least you're an adult and can go to the doctor. My grandmother used to "treat" ear infections by making us lay on our side and let her pour "sweet oil" in it. Then you had to lay there forever... lol

Hun Er want help us because they don't see mental illness as a problem,only way they will pay attn is if one is a threat to self are maybe others&thats with most ER my mom,would say Hospitals are for sick ppl&truth is we are not sick we are just women and men having a bit of a harder time being able tp cope with day to day life.

Thank you BeRock my Dr didn't even look at my ear :/ I even asked I told her I wanted to do natural remedies instead of meds she said ok then I asked for more vistral for bed time she said just use Benadryl or melatonin for sleep!

Soul I know they just look at me like I'm stupid or that I just want drugs it sucks and is hard to stay out of the er when all day everyday I feel like crud I have just about every symptom you can think of for anxiety :( really the only way to ease them is to lay down that why I'm stuck in the couch 24/7 anxiety stinks lol

I am sorry you did not get much satisfaction from  your Dr.  If you told her you were having ear pain she should have looked into both your ears as well as your throat IMHO.  I used to be prone to really nasty ear aches.  I understand how painful it can be and yet you made it to your Aunts house..............you are tougher than you think.

By the way, Vistaril is used as a sedative to treat anxiety and tension. Vistaril (hydroxyzine) is available OTC in non-prescription doses which I believe is 25mg. Remember I am not a physician so I am not prescribing just sharing info.

I have bought it for sinus and allergy sx and it helps me. 

We used to give it to patients before they went to surgery to help them relax.

Huh thank you Kitts I didn't know they had it over the counter I'll have to check into that it doesn't make me sleepy it just makes my nerves and stuff slow down so I can sleep! Thank you again

Hey Kortnie21...yeah, I went to the ER for 2 panic attacks. They pretty much did nothing. I just laid there for a few hours :P

Yu'all need a good laugh, when I was young and we lived on a farm about 10 miles from town, we didnt have a car either, things like sore throat and ear aches got treated at home, I remember the last one I ever had, my Grandmother made me pee in a can, when she pored it in my ear you would
have thought it was boiling lead, sure did cure my ear ache! lolololol

Amateurpsych that's all they they do put you in a room for hours come in ask what's wrong you tell them your symptoms they say I'm gonna look at you test results never come back in till the nurse does to give me my discharge papers! What a way to make a person with anxiety feel the least they could do is say hey I think its your anxiety I think the reason I went so much to the er ( been there 25 times within a months time) was for reassurance :( but they didn't even give me that
