Lyme's and anxiety

Greetings.

I used to frequent this board a lot, months ago. I read many posts and truly identified with many of the stories. I, too, was (and still am) suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. I was also experiencing some weird vertigo. To make a long story short, I was recenly diagnosed with Lyme's. Anxiety and panic are two very common symptoms in people with Lyme's. I just felt obligated to mention this because it could be connected to your suffering. I hope that it isn't, but it might give you some answers. I did my testing through Igenix in California.

Hi. Seeing this post makes me somewhat concerned because I live in an area where there are deer
walking through almost every day! They don't mind people, and I have been pretty
close (though not right up close) to them because they walk into yards all of the time. Is it possible
to get Lyme's Disease because of this? I am worried now because I have had a rash for a few days now that
is red but has turned into a bruise almost, but it is very itchy. I assumed it was a spider bite or a
mosquito bite, but now i'm thinking of getting tested for that.

Even if you were to get a tick, you would most likely see it. (though they are small) There is also the telltale 'bullseye' rash...red on the inside, white middle circle, and red on the outside circle.

Larry is right, not every tick will be a carrier, so unless you have a confirmed bite, you should not worry unecessarily...just be aware.

I also think that if you remove any tick within a 24 hour window, that you are not likely to get sick, even if the tick were infected.

So be aware, do checks if you have been walking in the grass, and try not to worry otherwise.:)
