This has been the weirdest week in our town.
I know things can happen anywhere and anytime and the Anxiety in our town has been
heightened by this incident.
A 30 year old father of a 1 year old son and beautiful wife went out for a run on Monday evening and
didn't return home. They have begged for volunteers all week, had search dogs, helicopters
and horses and found nothing. Today was the first day they cancelled volunteers to help since
all areas had been searched where they thought he might of been. He is a Marathon Runner
so to run over 10 miles wasn't unusual to him. Well today they got breaking news and they
found his body. It was such a relief but so sad and now the family has closure. He was
found about 2 miles the opposite direction from his house. We live in a town where things
like this rarely happen and when things like this do, it makes you even more aware
of what is going on.
It also doesn't help that my court date is on Monday and I have NEVER had to do this in
my 44 years of life. I am a nervous wreck to say the least. The case may be dropped but
this is something that will be with me the rest of my life and it will never be forgotten.
I will probably never get off my anxiety meds because of this situation.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Lisa
