Increased Effexor XR finally

Hey everyone I increased my medication to 150mg (begrudgingly) . However I feel like if doesn't work at 150 I'm going to have to try something new. Today is day 4 of the increase so I'll give it a few weeks and see what happens. I was on 75mg for 6 years with no issues until a few months ago. I'm not sure really why I'm typing this. It just helps to get it out! Hope all is well with everyone!

Give it time.

My psych just raised mine to 225. I was on 150 for the past 9 months. It worked quite well, but this is a particularly tough time.

Not that I noticed, but everyone is different. I have other and complex conditions, so any med change is a balancing act.

All you can do is take it and see. After 5-6 weeks, you ought to have a good idea of whether it will help.

It does take time for your body to adapt to the medication. If you stop it too early, you won't have an accurate idea of how it will affect you.
