I just don't know what to do anymore I went to my doctor today fire a refill on my hydroxyzine.. Well his nurse says how ya been feeling I just started cry I told get I don't feel like this is just anxiety I told her I will NOT take meds that I wanna know what supplements to take she got loud Witt me and said none if you don't wasn't the meds then just do therapy I said ok I told her my heart feels funny well come to find out I have pericarditis which I wasn't told about and that its pissing on a heart valve well nice to flipping know now im all freaked out because I've been hearing my heart gurgle *** so I'm calling my cardiologist tomorrow and telling her I wasn't another apt and I want another echo my grandparents have heart disease which terrifies me.. My nurse today tells me I just need to get alot of rest woo what does she think I've been doing running marathon NO I'm appalled I should have been told about this I wish my er was nice I'd go there and tell them I've heard my heart gurgling but they'd just tell me its anxiety because I've been there so much ahhh I just want to scream and cry somemore shakehead

I just wish they could give me something for the inflammation my chest hurts so bad that I can't even where a bra haven't been able to for two months ):

I'm sorry kid I wish there was something more I could do for you, I will keep Praying, I feel they are not sharing enough information with you and I don't know why you weren't given something to fight the heart problem from the first day. Peace

I feel the same as Larry K I love you and wish I can help in some way here. But and inflammation isn't bad though it can be cured easily! Atleast it's not something more and that's what matters. You will get through this I just know you will.

Thank you Larry and jocipher! Larry I don't understand why they didn't either I'm calling the cardiologist tomorrow and asking for another echo I also don't know why they didn't give me anything for inflammation my tips of my fingers even turn white sometimes I'm not happy!
Jocipher I'm the pericarditis will go away just not the mitral valve prolapse I'm just very upset that the cardiologist couldn't tell me this I'm telling them tomorrow when I call that I don't want the lady cardiologist I want the one my grandparents go to he's awesome.

Well I have heard of that and to my understanding I believe it's something that anyone can live with and live a nice healthy life! Atleast it's not something bigger. I wish you the best with the cardiologist and hope you get the one you want!

Kortnie, my wife has two valves that are as you describe plus arrhythmia she has never had a problem, when we were younger she could out walk me on a track, for some of us these things are normal for us, I was told i had the same valve problem you have but I was able to exercise and take one med that corrects the problem it doesn't show up on my ekg's, please don't over worry about this just chose your own doctor and ask for an explanation.

Thank you I sure hope its not a problem but the pericarditis scares me a bit I just want to be better I hate feeling like this I want this anxiety to stop everything just needs to get better :-(

Baby girl I want you to listen to me, Please, this is not a serious or life threatening situation, but it all makes sense now, you stay on the couch because it hurts you to move, I am sorry I didn't understand before, this is a 100% treatable condition, it won't effect your life but darn it needs to be treated. You need to write down everything you have been dealing with both emotional and physical take it with you when you get your appointment, "We always seem to forget something" so write it down and give it to the doctor. Awww Kortnie sorry to know you are dealing with extra problem but try not tp work yourself up to much&who cares if you been to hospital ER a 1,000 times they still have to treat you& trust me when a EKG says heart is good 99%of time thats true. Stress will cause you heart problems so try to be slow to worry&quicker to pray,because stressing want make anything.better ypu can email me anytime [email protected] anytime Iam a late nighter in&out but don't go to bed until late. Larry like I said I'm calling tomorrow and asking for another test because I heard my heart gurgle which means there is fluid building between the sac and heart they need to take some fluid and test it to see what's causing it and treat. The cardiologist I'm currently seeing is only a nurse practitioner :-( so I'm gonna switch to dheil out Jones Erich ever has the first available..

Soul thank you I'm trying not to stress it to much but with her not telling me this upsets me it says that the only way to get better is with rest and with my heart gurgling I should have the fluid tested and be out on something with rest I've read where you normally get ibuprofen or steroid and lots of rest she never told me that! I go see my therapist tomorrow also so tomorrow will be another day of crying. The mitral valve prolapse I expect I have heart diseases in both parents side do I know one day I'll have to have some kind of bipass or defibrillator.

Don't sell yourself to short kid there is a lot they can do it just Pi***s me off that they didn't start you on something the day they saw you, you could be well now. Love You don't worry! Peace

I called the cardiologist and she said the only thing I can take is an anti inflammatory but I can only take it for two weeks. I told her I hear gurgling and she said that could be because of the pericarditis I guess I just don't know! Should I go ahead and call a different cardiologist to have a second look? I wouldn't be so concerned but both my moms parents has heart problems and has had stints and surgery and my dads dad had a bypass by robots I'm just do confused

I am so sorry that you are dealing with all of these worries right now.

It sounds like your doctor has done a thorough job of checking everything out in regards to your heart health...however, you certainly have every right to a second opinion...epspecially if you feel like your concerns were not addressed to your satisfaction, and if you were not given all the infomation that you needed from your initial visit.

If you would feel more comfortable with the doctor that saw your grandparents, then I would think that requesting an appointment with him would be a logical step.

Oh, I just read that you were seen by a nurse practictioner? Have you not been seen by an M.D./cadiologist then?

I am a little confused...a nurse practictioner is not the same as seeing a heart specialist. If you have not been seen by an actual M.D., then by all means, if only for peace of mind, make an appointment for yourself.

Thank you SC and Larry I called for a different cardiologist they weren't in the office today so I left a voicemail and I'd I don't have a call back by 10:30 tomorrow morning I'm calling back again. I don't know why my cardiologist now won't just give me another echo to check for fluid there had to be a reason why my heart is gurgling! My platelets where low when I last had blood work which was two days ago so I don't wanna take ibuprofen. Thank you again
