PLEASE HELP I Need Someone to Talk Me Down

i have had a serious cardiac episode called takotsubos cardio myopathy. it is a cardiomyopathy of my heart caused by stress. my heart has swollen and can not pump right because of it. i cant take the meds needed due to mast cell disease. the drs have told me i need to eliminate any stress and keep my heart rate and blood pressure down so my heart can go back to a normal state. if i dont do this my heart will continue to swell and stop beating. i am now having multiple panic attacksbecause i am terrified . please...someone talk to me and help me calm down.

ive been up all night in this panic attack. im killing my heart and i cant stop. i dont understand why this is happening to me. i cant stop and its swelling my heart more and more with every hour. i guess i just wait to see how long it will take. whatever. i i dont care anymore i just dont care anymore. im so physicalland mentally tired. my heart jhst wont take too mjch more. and ive done this to myself. my worrying and panicing has killed me.

I am so sorry to hear of your condition, and the fear that it is causing you. I can read how upsetting this is to you, and how you seem to be in a cycle of anxiety...so let's see what we can do to help you break out of it, and get to a calmer place.

There a many techniques that are proven to bring about a sense of calm, and to help divert your fearful thoughts.

In our Resources we have a lot of instuctional videos and links to articles that could help you. I encourage you to look them up, and learn the technniques, but for now, simply try this.

Reapeat to yourself:

"I am going to be okay. I am letting go of this anxiety and fear, so that I can get well. Anxiety can not and will not harm me today."

As you repeat this, breath slowly and deeply. In through the nose for 3 (long) seconds....hold for 3, and exhale completely for 3 more.

Even if you do not fully believe that this will work...keep doing it...it is a practice, and will bring down your heart rate, stabilize your blood pressure, and start to reduce anxiety levels.

Every time a fearful thought tries to take over, start the practice again. You may be doing this several (or more!) times a day, but that is allright.

When you are feeling up to it, look into the Resources like I suggested and learn more. The more you take your healing into your own hands and learn, the better equipped you are to bring about healing for yourself.

I have a similar problem with my throat that i battle every day and night. I have to take ativan or else i feel like im going to suffocate. Its not a great solution. If you can find a way to relax other than meds please try this. I am praying you find peace.

Hate to see ppl going through what we go through&Iam grateful for my mothers words&when I started to think on what she said,even when the words did feel harsh. They help me come out the deep deep dark place I was in. Iam still healing&trust me,I still have my hard days but if I can get through that darkness. To the point where doom feel like it's near I don't get all weary. Fact is we all we see home one day&it's up to us to try to find our peace in none,and know this earth isn't home.
