I know it sounds super crazy, but... I've taken 2 20mg celexa's so far over the past 2 days, and I have got to say, the side effects are just unbearable. I do have xanax, so I think I'm going to just take one of these if I need to. I don't like the celexa at all. I know it's supposed to take time to work but I can't stand it. I don't want to deal with these side effects for weeks. A week ago, before I even went to the doctor, I was completely fine. I haven't had a panic attack for 2 years. All of the sudden, something scary happens and I'm having panic attacks like crazy? I think I'll be fine..what do you guys think?

I think that it is important to do what makes you feel most comfortable.

If this start up is causing you to have more stress, then maybe you should go with your instinct and stick to the plan mentioned in your post.

I think that if you commit to trying coping skills everyday for anxiety management...then you could find that between those and the benzo for breakthrough panic episodes (if any)...you could be fine.

You can always reevaluate after a time, and make any more Rx changes if needed later.
