SFM,
One of the tricky things about
anxiety, is how to determine between symptoms of anxiety (they are vast!) and what is an actual medical issue that needs to be addressed.
If you have not already, I would suggest making an appoinment with your doctor and explaining all that you have been experiencing, and see what he/she recommends.
I don't know of the testing criteria for adrenal insufficiency, but your doctor should know what to do, and whether or not you need to pursue this.
The stange thing about
anxiety is that it can often by triggered by an illness. Often we don't give any second thoughts to our health until we have faced an issue with it. If your infections were serious enough for you to have several different medications prescribed...then I would say that is significant, and enough to 'flip the anxiety switch', so to speak.
Your symptoms that match adrenal issues, also are a match for a panic attack, (

it...and wait and see what your doctor has to say.
I wish you the best, and hope that you get the answers that you seek soon.
Keep posting with us for understanding and support!
