I agree with Larry. You are more likely to have increased anxiety symptoms when you are ill.
For one, our symptoms are exacerbated...such as shortness of breath with a cold/flu...or stomach issues with a stomach virus...so naturally our anxiety is going to get ratcheted up a few notches!!
In addition, we are not able to deal with anxiety as well because of our weakened state. Not feeling well and losing sleep is of course going to make us more vulnerable.:(
If you develop a fever or your cough gets worse, it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call and see if you need to go in...otherwise, rest up and drink liquids...use those coping skills to get you through.:)
