I think this is definitely something you're going to have to talk to your doctor about.
That said, here are my thoughts:
Sometimes, the first 4-6 weeks are the most difficult. Once your body levels out on your medication, the drowsiness may not be as much of an issue.
If you've been very tense and this medicine is helping, your body may just be beginning to relax. Perhaps after a period of the lower stress, your energy levels will return.
Maybe lowering your dose is an option?
I'm not sure that they could prescribe anything to counteract the drowsiness. That said, they might be able to - I just haven't heard of it.
Are you getting enough sleep in general? Are there activities you could eliminate or reschedule to allow yourself more rest at night or a nap during the day?
Is your sleep restful? Perhaps that's part of the source of the issue?
Do you feel more drowsy in particular locations/settings or at particular times of the day? Perhaps you could adjust your study routine to a more wakeful setting or time?
I struggled with depression in college, which often makes me feel the need to just sleep, sleep, sleep... I found a favorite spot in the college library to study. It was a small table, sturdy chair all alone in a corner surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. I would grab a cappuccino and take my things there to study. If I studied in my apartment, I often ended up asleep on the floor.
Just some thoughts to consider...
