Nope, asked many doctors the same thing as I've been going through this for two years, part of it is anxiety, the other part is dust and dander allergy, it causes the throat to tighten up or spasm actually, you don't feel it spasming, just the tightness, I take antihistamines for it and it helps a bit, the main thing is this time of year, especially since last year, has spiked peoples allergies who have had them for years and made them worse, and for people who have never experienced allergies, welcome to the world of them, all of this is due to the weather we've had the past couple years, check on www.weather.com and see for your area how bad dust and dander is right now, almost every state is in the red warning, alert.
I've been to specialists for this, had scans of my whole neck area and numerous blood tests, all allergy and anxiety related, believe it or not when your neck starts to feel tight from allergies, you get anxiety, which manifests itself in different way's, but when you focus on a certain area, that anxiety will too.
