I had little luck with Paxil, as a teen, but we all tend to react differently to different drugs. What helps you may not help me and vice-versa.
If your symptoms are severe, you may need to add other kinds of treatment to your routine. Both my psychiatrist and my psychologist have told me that current research suggests that medication and therapy together are the most effective way to beat panic attacks and anxiety.
Have you ever considered counseling or CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)? Do you use any breathing exercises or coping techniques?
I would suggest checking out the Resources (first post in this form) that our wonderful moderators have collected. Mastering a breathing exercise can help nip attacks in the bud - putting YOU rather than your medicine in control.
Best of luck!
