As S.C.'s ever-present wisdom cites, our dreams are our body's way of clearing our minds of events, and can even help represent or work out problems that we are either facing or trying to avoid.
I try to think of them as a midnight showing at the theatre.
That being said, I have had dreams that were so vivid that when I woke up, I didn't fully realize I woke up or that I had been dreaming, and it took me 24-36 hours to "snap out of it." I was convinced the dream was/is real, that it had happened, that my awake state was the "actual dream."
(Sounds like a premise for another Matrix movie).
I don't know how Hubby puts up with my oddities, but he's amazing. (Because of course, since he's the closest to me, he bears the brunt of my "bizarre-ities").
