Hi H.C.,
My doctor told me that her daughter often had panic attacks when she was hungry! I do not think it is unusual at all...but I think that people are unaware of how BGL's affect them.
You have the atvantage of knowing exactly what is going on, and what to do...and not do to keep your BGL regulated.
How do you react to dried fruit? This is a good sugar/carb that is not refined if you buy the all natural type. It is portable and easy to bring along.
What about
a sports goo? These come in small, one shot packs, and deliver immediate carbs for low episodes....kind of an 'eating when you can't eat' alternative.
I love cuties/clementine tangerines and they are in season right now. I get low blood sugar if I am teaching more than 21/2 or 3 hours (dance) in a row, and pack a few of these for energy that lasts.
Finding an energy source that gets your blood sugar where it needs to be without triggering the over production of insulin will be essential for your health and moods. Have you worked with a nutritionalist?
I know that there is a definite connection between nutrition and wellness. I am striving to do better, as I am sure that everyone is.:)
Thanks for the good reminder, and I hope that things get better and more regulated in your own situation!
S.C.
