Well as some of you may know I started the Lexapro last night. I cant tell if its the med. or if it's just my anxiety but I definitely feel an increase in anxiety today! I was in class and had to tell myself just stop or people are going to think you're crazy! So I started to calm down then my heart started racing and I've been super shaky all morning and feeling nautious and just really weird feeling, kind of like sick to my stomach so Im drinking ginger ale. Don't know! Don't want to blame it on the meds because I obviously have terrible anxiety everyday as it is and if it is the meds , hopefully i'll adjust and it'll just get better from here! Im not going to stop taking them because for the long run I really need them and I finally picked up the courage to start on them as my dr has been telling me to do for months now, so we'll see!

I am glad that you are going to keep going. You are doing the right thing and it will be better soon I am sure. Hang on and use your coping skills.

I agree!
I think that many people get discouraged...but this is a process, and even if it is a start up side effect, it will fade, and you may end up with a med that really works for you.
Also, like you said...it is likely to be just your regular anxiety that you are feeling...which is why you started the Rx to begin with!
...and with persistence in your treatments...both with Rx and coping skills (like S2S said) thing will get better!!
Hang in there, and know that we are supporting you.:)
