I've also taken Prozac (I'm currently on 40mg) for almost 25 years. It's one of the best medications I've ever been put on, and even among my current regiment.
Can you take it with food? That usually helps with nausea. And a cup of coffee isn't "real food." :)
I also read the label and from what I saw, as S.C. wrote, it was listed as a "common side effect," and not as an "allergic reaction."
Sometimes we have to figure out what meds to take together, which ones to take with foods. Did you know that some foods actually help facilitate the absorption of certain meds, while other foods can bind with the ingredient making it less available?
It may be as simple as, depending on when you take it, (I assume morning?) take it after a good breakfast, maybe some fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs? (Taking it after you eat generally lessens the potential for gastric upset).
Beware Dr. Google and even the pamphlets that come with the Rx. Remember, they have to list every single thing, even if it wasn't related (like if someone got a cold while on it, that has to be listed).....so even if 1 person out of 100,000 got a runny nose, they'd have to record it.
Hang in there kiddo, and let the meds build up in your system, and try after food (maybe alone?)
This, too, shall pass.
