I get something similar, where it feels like fluid is draining, and I can pretty much "hear it" or "feel it" swishing.
I've found that, for me, when my allergies kick up and I go from being congested to being runny, (great visual), these sensations come and go. That can cause anxiety, too, the whole coming and going thing.
Do you grind your teeth at all? I only ask because I do, and I catch myself at it, almost as if I think I can squeeze the pressure out. Our bodies do some unusual things, but we'll always try to seek a sense of balance.
This time of year, no doubt, adds an extra burst of squishy noises and sensations in our sinuses, ears, throat,...makes for a hodge-podge of distractions!
Let us know how you make out with your appointment.
Oh, I have a tip. One thing I learned to do when I'm getting bad tension headaches or muscle strains in my neck, is (...wait for it...)....stick your tongue out!
Really. Not all the way, but either press your tongue up against the back of your top teeth, or what I do is just stick the tip of my tongue out through my teeth. (You can't tell when my mouth is closed, it's very subtle), but it keeps you from clenching your jaw which can tense all those muscle up.
It's worth a shot! Good luck....
