We are excited that
you have joined us! Although, I am sorry that what brings you here is anxiety...and this awful symptom!
I understand how you are feeling, and it is not a fun state to be in. D/P and D/R (depersonalization and realization) are fairly common effects of anxiety, and can make one feel very scared and confused.
These symptoms are often connected with breathing problems brought on by anxiety. Hyperventilation is often an unconscious effect of stress. We tend to rapidly shallow breathe, thus throwing our whole body into a state of CO an O2 imbalance.
This can bring about
a whole spectrum of symptoms!
Learning to breathe properly can help. Have you tried any breathing exercises...and with any effect?
