Woke up at 3:00am with anxiety!!

What's that all about? I woke I full of anxiety. My heart rate was higher than usual but still low. My heart rate is usually around 60bpm and at 3:00am it was probably 70 or so. Even though that's not high it's higher for me so my anxiety ramped up,even more. I didn't want to take a Xanax at that time if night because I'm trying to remain on schedule with them. Still have the tightness/lightheadedness/pressure in my forehead though. I can't really describe it. I'm still hoping the therapy and meds will help this eventually.

I'm convinced there truly is some type of witching hour because so many of us wake up between 2am and 3am, wrought with anxiety,-- even from a sound sleep!

I still do this on a regular basis. I don't mean for that to bum you out, not my intention. If anything, I find that I'm learning to cope with them better, and they don't happen as frequently as they used to.

What are your coping techniques? Breathing techniques didn't help. I just felt all jacked up. It was so odd. Anxiety is certainly a treat!

You're freaking me out, dude. That's my time exactly! It's been that for decades. Seriously. Right to the minute.

When I'm going through moments where my CP is kicking in, sure, my witching hour varies between 2-3am and then I'm stuck wide awake for however long God decides....

But just, you know, generally speaking? A watch could be set to my 3:33am slumber interruption.

That's so strange. I'm going to check the time if it happens again. Which I pray it doesn't. But if it does I'll know you guys are out there feeling my pain!!! Strength in numbers huh?

Wow! That's something I never thought about. Maybe He's letting me know He's there when I'm ready to completely trust that He'll help me. I keep having the self fullfilling prophecy that every day is going to be the same as the last one. I need to trust that He brought me here to this site so that you and He will help me through this.

I'm sure like the rest of us here, you'll find this forum a haven of safety and comfort. Even though we are words on a screen, I deeply believe hearing from others who understand and have empathy, it all has a strong healing power.

I also believe that God will inject serendipity into our lives when we least expect it and when we need it most!

HW has been a great source of peace and relief for me since I joined. I am not sure how I stumbled across this site, but as they say: When we are ready, the teacher appears.
