Is it Allergies or a Cold?

My throat started getting scratchy on Thursday night. Since then, I've had a stuffy runny nose and it's also itchy! My inner ears itch as do my eyes! My throat is still a little sore, but more scratchy than sore. I cough a little from sinus drainage. So I don't know if I'm suffering from allergies or a cold or a bit of both, but it sure does make me feel rough! UGH!

This sounds like what I've been going through most recently.

That....whatever-it-was,....that I had for 2-3 weeks where I was coughing up a storm and feeling miserable, well that all passed.... And silly me, I thought I gave it the heave-ho!

What's been present now is that tickly, scratchy, dry throat, the post-nasal drip (which, due to the composition of sinus drainage), contributes to that whole scratchy throat feel...it's a vicious circle until things settle down.

My right ear canal hurts and feels plugged and as if it's popping every now and again....very sore.

I agree with you completely. These symptoms are very annoying, not to mention distracting!
