anxious about work

hi, i'm display.

i have a lot of work on my desk at my job and it's making me anxious. i am trying to detach from my worrying. i am fairly sure there are others at my job who are just as behind as i am. and i know i will go to my bosses and tell them how i have too much work.

otherwise it is very cold and rainy here. both of those things make me anxious. it's also annoying. down south (here) it is usually springtime by now!

i do have to give myself credit for getting up each day and going to work, and all the things i have to do to make that happen. it is not easy, but i do it!

One person can only do so much work in a day and like you I often have work left over at the end of the day. 

One year, over Christmas I had to work 3-11 PM shift both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (Eve).  I came down with a horrific upper respirator infection.  But I went to work as I was the only ICU nurse available over Christmas for that shift so I went.  The day after Christmas I went to my Dr. and when he heard I had gone to work sick he looked me in the eye and said Kitt, what would the hospital have done if you died before Christmas Eve - would it still have run?

I wanted to say NO - not a chance without me, but I learned a lesson. The world will not stop if I am not able to do all the work.  I had a no nonsense Dr. -

Complete one part of your project at a time not worrying about how your going to do it all; you will complete the project.
