i posted recently because my husband was away on a trip and I was very nervous. well i made it through that and he got home last night - and this morning i had one of the worst episodes of my life. prob in the top three. i was just working, sitting at my computer, and boom - heart racing, dizzy felt like i would pass out, like my head was spinning, and a new one - my vision got all blurry, everything looked like static. this one really made me scared and i thought for sure i was having a stroke and about to pass out and die. my blood pressure was ok though, i checked, although my pulse was 128.
my husband took me to the er - when i could finally get up out of my chair - and to the er we went. it was so bad i it took me a long time a few nurses to get me out of the waiting room and into an exam room. i kept thinking i am going to walk in there and never get out.
i did have an excellent doctor though. one of the few i've ever had that did not brush me off, was not condescending. spent a lot of time talking to me. and i really trusted his opinion that i was having a panic attack. this may be the first time i believe that is what it is, and not some underlying horrible disease or problem they just haven't found yet.
i always feel like there has got to be some medical cause. i did faint during a tilt table test. but again, my blood pressure was not low this time. and this doctor said that may be sort of unrelated, or just the thought that my blood pressure could go too low could cause the anxiety.
he recommended buspar. has anyone else taken buspar?
