Aaahhhgh, that is frustrating! I had a similar situation at one point...
I went to a group therapy meeting years back for an eating disorder issue, and most of the people had either drug, alcohol or self-harming problems as an additional issue to their anorexia/bulemia problems.
I was listening to some of the stories and was pretty mortified, as I was really young and innocent.
This was some really dark stuff...and I am there thinking, "Jeez...I just skip some meals because I hate my thighs..."
Point is, I was out of my league, and in the wrong place of treatment. (and I am not trying to make light of those people's problems...it was just not where I needed to be.)
If you feel that the group is not for you, then you can always just stick to your one-on-one sessions...or look for another group if there is one in your area.
