Welcome aboard HealingWell. You mentioned your ex - would that be part of the problem that set you up for having excessive anxiety?
Kudos to you for taking positive steps to learn to deal with your anxiety. I am sorry you did not care for the meds but in honesty, I have yet to meet anyone who was crazy about the side effects of starting on antidepressants. If you can make it through the first 4 weeks on the new med you may find the meds do help. Also each of us does better on certain meds and there are a lot to choose from.
