PS: If you utilize the "search feature" on the top right, and type in something like "checking pulse" or "always checking pulse" or something similar, you'll find many, many posts that discuss this same thing. I hope that puts your mind at rest that this is a very common thing to do for people with anxiety.....problem is, it can make things worse if you focus on it so intently. The "search feature" will bring up past posts and offer some additional help.
